We stayed for 6 days at Spring Break, the apartment is stunning (#31), the staff friendly & helpful. The beach is amazing. We used Ambassador divers for a couple of dives, they are situated right behind South Bay Beach Club. Peppers, 3 minute walk, was great for local food – delicious coconut fish.

We had an exceptional stay in Unit 31. The Unit was comfortable and well maintained. The open outside terrace offered a beautiful view of the ocean and beach. There was a screened portion of the terrace but we never had any issues with bugs or mosquitoes. The resort was within walking distance of several good restaurants and a short drive to the grocery and liquor stores. The only negative with our stay was the management “mistake” of double booking our last day in the Unit with another group beginning their vacation. We were forced to pack up our things and move to another Unit for the last day of our stay. The situation was resolved when they agreed to remove the charge for the last night.

This was our first trip to the Cayman Islands and we will definitely be back! We loved our condo at South Bay Beach Club! We stayed in unit 31 on the 5th floor and could not have been happier with the whole experience. Faithia was incredibly helpful during the booking process, communicating in a very timely manner and patiently answering all of my questions. She took care of stocking our unit with groceries and made all of our dining reservations prior to our arrival (and even rebooked the reservations upon our arrival when I had left my list at home and had no idea where we were booked!). We had an emergency with the safe in our unit on Sunday and Maggie got someone up there within 20 minutes to take care of it. Literally everything we needed was taken care of. As for the condo itself, it was beautiful, well appointed and kept nice and tidy during our stay by our housekeeper, Ann. The view from the fifth floor was just incredible. It took my breath away every time I walked out there. I thought having to go back up to use the bathroom or grab something from the unit would be a drag, but a little advanced planning makes that no issue. I think if you are a family traveling with small children then the first floor units might be more convenient, but for a family with teens, the view from the top floors definitely trumps the convenience of walking out to the beach. The beach itself was wonderful and spacious and we never had trouble finding chairs. The sand and the water were clean and beautiful. As all of the other reviews mentioned, the proximity of this condo to the Marriott is a nice advantage. We didn’t really experience any negatives from the Marriott (noise, guests spilling over onto our chairs, etc…) but definitely took advantage of the Red Sail Sports, the restaurant and bar off the beach. The only thing I would probably do differently next time is that we would definitely rent a car. Taxis are abundant but they can be pricey! There are quite a few places within walking distance and the area is very safe, but if you’re hopping into a cab, it does add up quickly. Restaurants were all outstanding. Every place we dined was recommended to us by Faithia and we loved each and every one. Of course the seafood is fantastic, but everything else we tried we pretty much loved. And the people of the Cayman Islands were all very warm, welcoming and friendly. I know I sound like a commercial, but it really was a great trip in every respect. I have nothing bad to report. I am a seasoned traveler with pretty high standards, so this is actually kind of unusual for me 😉 We will definitely be back, as soon as possible!

Room Tip: Units on the top floors have amazing, unobstructed views of the Caribbean Sea and Seven Mile Beach…
