My family and I spent 4 glorious days at the South Bay Beach Club and I can’t stop talking about how relaxing, spacious and wonderful our Condo was. The staff that I spoke to; Faithia, Dora and Maggie did everything in their power to make my family and I comfortable.

From the moment we stepped into #34 on the 5th floor, we were astonished with the breath-taking views. The rooms were extremely spacious and two of the rooms had an ocean view. All of the appliances and furnishings were modern – so much so that we called the unit a “smart” house.

This was my third visit to Grand Cayman and I always heard about the over-crowding of 7 mile beach Condos so I stayed away. However, I was pleasantly surprised to see that during the high season as well as Spring Break; the beach was not crowded. Although the staff ensured that we had beach chairs & umbrellas reserved, there was no need to rush down to the beach to make sure you had a front row seat because our location on 7 mile beach was not crowded at all.

I have travelled to over 45 countries and instead of staying in hotels, I now choose to stay in 4-5 star villas or condos. Keeping that thought mind, I will say in comparison to the other places I have stayed that were 4-5 star… this condo was a bit pricey! Nevertheless, if you can afford to stay here, by all means do not look any further because your vacation will be enhanced 100-fold as a result of staying at SBBC!!! .
Room Tip: Again, if you can afford it, make sure that your condo is on the 4-6 floors.

We stayed 5 nights over the Thanksgiving holiday. Great location on southern edge of 7 Mile Beach. The beach is small but works just fine for the size of the complex. Unfortunately, during our stay a nasty storm lasting two days blasted Grand Cayman. The beaches were loaded with seaweed (which they quickly worked to remove). They said the seaweed only comes a couple times a year. Very nice pool, lots of tables and chairs with umbrellas, two hammocks are a bonus. The building sits close to the water so great views await. We really enjoyed the screened in porch with comfortable furniture and a large table for dining, playing games, etc. We traveled with other family members, 9 in total and had plenty of room. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the tools you will need. Walking distance to lots of great restaurants, bars, shopping, etc. We booked through an agency but found out later if you book directly with the condo they will do your advance shopping. We would stay here again.
Room Tip: The four bedroom units are on the second floor but have awesome views.

The family and I stayed in Room 14 during Valentines Day weekend. The room was incredible, very clean, great views of 7 mile beach, and very comfortable beds. The room is 4 bedroom 4 bath and literally huge. It is located south of the main strip so a little quieter and less crowded. We had everything we needed as there is a reef for snorkeling 20 yards offshore. Next door is the Marriot where you could rent wave runners, sailboats, and kayaks. South Bay also has a nice pool with comfortable beach chairs. Lots of restaurants, grocery stores, etc nearby. Some experiences we would recommend would be Dolpin Discovery, of course Sting Ray City (use JM at Scotch Bonnett Charters), and Rum Point. Great restaurants nearby would be Eduardos and Ragazzi’s. At West Bay, Ernie is the manager and he is friendly and helpful. We normally stay at large hotels and I have to say the price at South Bay Beach Club was far superior to what we have paid in the past for a room of this quality. We can’t wait to come back this summer.
