Fingertip sits directly on the waterfront at the end of a sandy point in Cayman Kai along the island's north coast. Walkable to the restaurants and watersports at Rum Point Beach and The Kaibo, Fingertip is an excellent value putting guests at the epicenter of the best Cayman Kai has to offer.
This single-story, extremely private villa is an ideal choice for a honeymoon, anniversary, or a small family vacation. The property ends in a palm-shaded, white sandy beach with lounge chairs and a hammock under the palms. The shallow clear waters offer barefoot swimming, however, we advise guests to wear pool shoes for foot protection as a precaution. When combined with its comfortable interiors and exceptional privacy, Fingertip promises to be an island getaway you will never forget.

Location is the keyword here as the home is only a 5-10 minute walk to the Rum Point Club and the Kaibo Marina. After watching the sunset from Fingertip, the next most pressing question is whether to turn left towards Rum Point or right towards the Kaibo for dinner and drinks.

The entire island is only 22 miles wide from west to east, so you are never too far from anywhere on Grand Cayman.
The homes on the sound in Cayman Kai offer the best beaches as they don’t have as much marine and plant life living in the shallows. The beaches are typically soft white sand. The homes facing west offer barefoot swimming and shallow calm water. The sunsets are also wonderful, but the big draw to this area is the proximity to the Rum Point Club, a public beach club that offers a fantastic barefoot beach, many watersports, a restaurant bar and grill, a gift shop and pick-up beach volleyball games.
Lastly, about 20 minutes east are two large resorts (Morritt's and The Reef) that offer manicured beaches as well as restaurants, a modern grocery store, liquor store, gift shops, a Subway sandwich shop, and a cafe/pastry shop. These two resorts also offer scuba, snorkel trips, jet skis, windsurfers, kiteboarding, ocean front pools and bar service.

Ocean Debris & Sargassum Seaweed
Beaches in Grand Cayman may also experience floating ocean debris and sargassum weed seasonally.
Sargassum is a generally harmless floating seaweed that has increased in frequency over the years during the summer. Our owners do make efforts to remove heavy sargassum and will have the beach raked prior to your arrival.
Should sargassum weed be extremely heavy behind your property, we will reach out to the owner for alternative solutions which may include a partial refund or relocation.

Fingertip Stay
I have been visiting the Cayman Kai area for over a decade. This was my first stay at Fingertip.
Lovely house, very peaceful location, Chloe (property manager) was delightful.

The listing does not do this property justice, it is much better in person. We had the best week and will be back! Everything was wonderful!
The best location and top manager
Chloe always has the house in top shape ! The setting for this original Cayman Kai style cottage is unsurpassed ; Sitting at the end oh Finger Cay ,the setting is splendid and the water clear and lovely. The snorkeling by the boat channel has lots to see -lion fish , angel fish , parrot fish ,sergeant majors . The parade of boats is delightful to watch.
Fingertip Review
This is a fantastic location situated between Rum Point and Kaibo. The house is older, but has everything you need to enjoy your stay in Cayman Kai. We cooked a lot of meals in the kitchen and even barbecued in the backyard on the beach. Rent sea kayaks to enjoy the bioluminescence bay or a quick paddle to Starfish or Rumpoint Point. We had some house issues that were fixed quickly, AC and showers worked great. The view across the bay is amazing we also found beautiful shells right on the beach behind the house. Lovely place!
Relaxing!
Away from it all. Very relaxing. Amazing views! A bit of a drive from the airport but definitely worth it.
Great view & very comfortable
This villa was well equipped and in good condition. The bed we used was comfortable. Lacks a little in the parking department but we got by. The property mgr., Chloe was super friendly and jumped right on a couple of minor issues we had. The north & east end of the island has been slow to recover from previous damage and off season slowness, so we had to make a number of one hour trips to Georgetown & that surrounding area. We would stay here again if we decided to vacation in that area.
Can\'t Recommend Enough!
This place was incredible. Nice and quiet with a private beach. We enjoyed the ocean and the beach area as well as the hammock. At night we were thrilled to discover that the property is right next to the bioluminescent bay. The house was great and even had an outdoor shower. We also enjoyed the individual AC unit that was in each room of the house. I can’t recommend this place enough.
Great Location
We have stayed at "Fingertip" twice and each visit has been outstanding. We especially liked how ideal "Fingertip" is for a family with children ; We had grandchildren there and the beach is wonderful ! The three bedroom ands three bath house works for all ages . Swimming and snorkeling are right out the backdoor and the screened porch perfect for reading while keeping and eye out on the beach . We are looking forward to our next visit .

Amazing sunsets!
We had a wonderful time in the fingertip villa, the views are simply amazing and it was an absolutely beautiful experience. The house has pretty much everything you need, and Grand Cayman Villas offers excellent service.
Absolutely Perfect
If you\'re looking to stay near Rum Point/Kaibo, and more on the quiet side of the island, then Fingertip is a special place. This was our second visit to Fingertip and the location, private beach, and sunset views cannot be beat. The house was perfect for our family of four (two young children). Enough bedrooms for everyone without being so large that it discourages being together. The screened porch will be your \'living room\', as it is very comfortable, spacious and perfect for any time of day. Almost every room has a view out to the otherworldly blue color of North Sound. The house can be opened up with large sliding doors allowing the breezes to keep the house comfortable all day long.
Grand Cayman Villas has perfected their communication and processes, so everything was easy even working around COVID reschedules and restrictions. The addition of Silver Thatch welcome center was very nice, with access to some of the \'extras\' that make a vacation easier (kayaks, snorkel gear, apple tv\'s, coolers, etc). Everyone there was super helpful and friendly.
Captain \"Big Kev\" and mate Warren on the Silver Thatch charter were exceptional. We booked a private boat with them to Stingray City, a kid-friendly snorkel, and visit to Starfish Point. Both of these guys were fantastic -- full of knowledge about the island, great humor, and most-importantly super with our kids. Highly recommend making time for a trip with them.
Chloe, the property manager, was responsive to emails and texts and was there the following day for the (very) small issues we had -- low batteries in smoke detectors, and user error on one of the AC units. One suggestion for the management team is that while checkout time is 10 am, the housekeepers showed up at 9:15-9:30, which felt like we were being rushed out of the house. The last few precious minutes on Fingertip\'s beach is too valuable to even lose 30 minutes of that experience.
Beautiful view from private beach!
We loved the house & location. The only problem was finding the front door in the dark upon arrival the 1st night. The beds were super comfortable; having a shower available right off the beach was perfect! We loved the screened porch with the dining table & living areas. The Dining table area was perfect for meals & card games; the outdoor couch & chairs were perfect for reading, relaxing & napping!
A couple of suggestions: how to work the TV is imperative! We were never able to figure it out! Even with the house mgr. coming over several times to show us how. It would have been nice to have a few beach toys to hold onto while out in the water seeing as how we had to walk out through seagrass & the unknown below us. Those simple water toys
aren’t very expensive.
Easter staycation
House is very nice and a good lay out. Wonderful screen patio and beach area with great view. Very comfortable beds, nice living area and patio furniture. Would be nice to have a TV in one of the bedrooms.
Beautiful House/Serene View/Lovely Cove
I am so glad to have chosen Fingertip for a weeks' stay and more importantly to spend the Christmas holiday. Lovely surrounding gardens and its location gives it a wonderful breeze. Beautiful white beach gives swimming access and privacy. This is an older house, and whilst it could use some upkeep, it exudes island character and charm. Whilst I have stayed in other Grand Cayman Villas & Condos that I feel had more welcoming and helpful property management, the house itself more than made up for that. Excellent choice for a quiet stay where one is seeking pristine beach and views.
Great, Relaxing Trip!
In regards to our visit to Fingertip. We love the house! Looking out on your own beach is incredible. We have stayed there for years and keep coming back. The property manager was great. We had to call on a couple of items and she was on whatever we needed! A great resource and very nice. We always love going to the Lighthouse for a nice night out and Kaibo for a casual meal. The restaurant at Rum Point was excellent and our food was outstanding. Our favorite night was the full moon celebration at Kaibo. We were out on the sand, with music and great food. Although this was the first time we booked with your company, it was very seamless. Always someone to call and the people at the welcome center were great. They were able to give us advise on shopping, and newer places on the island. It was a great, relaxing trip!

Private and Tropical!
Our family has been going to Cayman for three years renting different homes along the way. This home is by far our favorite. We love the area where the the house is located as it is very tropical. It gives you the feeling that you are in a remote place while being steps away from Rum Point and Kaibo and at the mouth of the Bioluminescent Bay. Our family loves to kayak and we were able to kayak to all places mentioned above. The best part of the day was the sunset. It was as if the house was built so the sun would set directly in front of it! The white sand beach was big enough for our four boys to run and throw a football around while I relaxed on the hammock. The kitchen was stocked with everything to make big family breakfasts. The beds are very comfortable too! The lanai was one of our favorite parts of the house. After watching the sunset we would relax as a family listening to the waves.We met Chloe the house manager the last day. She came by to see how our stay was. We highly recommend this house!

BEST VACATION EVER!
My husband and I rented this home for a private get-away for his 50th birthday. The home and location could not have been more perfect. The privacy of the home was perfect for the relaxing vacation we were after. We barely left the hammock all week, finding it the perfect spot to relax, read, listen to music and watch the watercraft. The home contained everything we need and we bought groceries (including charcoal and lighter fluid to use on the grill) at the store in town. We ate at nearby Kaibo (both the beach restaurant and the upstairs dining and had coffee from the coffee house). We also rented jet skis at Kaibo and drove out to Sting Ray City. Next time I think we will rent a boat so we can spend more time there on that sandbar and also have our cooler, music, etc with us. A couple of kayaks would have been an awesome addition to our rental. We are planning to come back and bring my parents and our 9 year old sometime next year. The wifi and a/c worked great (two critical things in my book). You won\'t regret renting this home for a private, relaxing vacation.

Wonderful Location! Very Private, lots of little fish along the rocks at the shore.
We loved the fact that you are on a wonderful soft sand beach the moment you step foot outside. Comfortable home, comfortable beds. We had no issues with the house, and found the manager very friendly and welcoming. Called once to inquire about renting kayaks, quick response. I would be willing to pay a bit more a night if they ever included kayaks as rental is fairly expensive. However, being right at the entrance of the bio-luminescence bay, you have the best of both worlds at your back door. The waters are calm, very inviting. We did discover that swimming through shallow grassy areas may not be the best idea....\"sea lice.\" Microscopic ? jelly fish. Most of us were stung a little, but it was very minor and went away within the day. In the future, easy to avoid. (I just got caught up seeing the fish.) My husband had the time of his life enjoying the sunset, a drink, his music (we bright an iPhone speaker) and grilling (they have a small charcoal grill.) We cooked our on meals and the kitchen had all our basic needs. You may want to bring baggies for food storage. (Not many plastic containers.) For first time guests, I advise renting a car large enough for your luggage and groceries. Once you land, get your groceries first, in town. (The drive is about 40-50 minutes from the airport. This will save you time. If you plan to grill, be sure to buy charcoal and lighter fluid. There are nice places to eat close, but it\'s not cheap. Cooking saves money. It\'s a great family vacation. We will definitely be back! One more thought, keep in mind that the grocery stores are closed on Sundays.
Fantastic Experience & a view that words cannot describe!
I wanted to let you know how pleased we were with our Cayman beachside villa! We stayed in the Fingertip Villa. Our villa was very clean and the amenities inside the villa (towels, comfort of beds, cleanliness of villa) were wonderful! We couldn\'t have been more satisfied! We were also very impressed by the villa manager Chloe Campbell! She stopped by the day after we arrived to welcome us and answer all of our questions. We also saw her another day. She was very friendly and professional! The location and views from the Fingertip Villa are out of this world - beauty like we had never seen before ! We hope to come back again someday! Thanks to everyone involved This is the first time any of us (3 couples) had ever traveled outside of the Untied States so we especially appreciated the help everyone gave us in planning and organizing our trip.

This well kept home is as nice as the pictures. For folks who like to be away from the hustle of 7 Mile Beach this location is ideal. It can be a long drive to Georgetown, but with restaurants at Kaibo, Lighthouse, and Morrit\'s nearby, you can spend a whole relaxing week without a lot of time behind the wheel. The property manager, Chloe, was on site to greet us when we arrived, and we received a warm Cayman welcome. Chloe helped us arrange a phone to make some necessary telephone calls and she made sure we had everything we needed. It would be nice to have a kayak or two since that is a popular activity in this area. But other than that the house and visit were perfect.

We have stayed in several houses in the Rum Point area and this was the best beach location for a relaxing, private vacation for us and our friends. With two master suites right on the ocean we didn't have to fight for the best bedroom! The house had everything we needed and the property manager was very attentive. Jim from Grandcaymanvillas.net helped us with a private excursion to Sting Ray City and the reef for our friends who hadn't kissed a Sting Ray yet. Jim's knowledge of the island is unparalleled and their new Silver Thatch savings card saved us a few hundred dollars between all the restaurants and the boat rental. This house is perfect for 3 couples or two couples with kids. The sunsets from "our own beach" were unbelievable every night. Definitely a place to return to.
Amazing Getaway
Our stay at Fingertip has been amazing. The accommodations were perfect for our family of 5. The secluded beach provides for some of the most amazing views on the island. Its truly an island paradise and we look forward to many rerun trips!

Getting Around
A rental car is highly recommended. Taxi cabs are unreliable and expensive outside of town and Seven Mile Beach. Plus, there is no Uber or Lyft on the island.
For rental cars, we recommend Budget Cayman, Avis, or Marshalls.
