Mango Cottage is a 2-bedroom oceanfront home in West Bay at the northern tip of Cayman's western peninsula. Architecturally identical to the other three cottages surrounding it, this cozy getaway can sleep 5 guests, 4 adults max.

Each floor plan opens to the sea with a pergola extending over the front porch creating an elevated lounging perch with ocean views. The bedroom suites sit on opposite wings of the cottage for maximum privacy. Both suites have walk-out access to the front porch.

  • Primary Suite - king bed, television with Apple TV device, garden and ocean views, ensuite bath with modern fixtures, large jacuzzi tub, stand-alone rain shower.
  • Twin Suite - two twin beds, garden and ocean views, ensuite bath with modern fixtures, European shower-tub combo.
  • A roll-away bed is available in each cottage.

Each cottage features a vaulted great room with ocean views encompassing the living, dining, and kitchen areas. The professionally-decorated interiors combine soothing hues, natural textures, and modern materials to evoke an updated island vibe. 

The kitchen is outfitted with stainless appliances including a side-by-side refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, electric range, and modern appliances. The kitchens are fully stocked with plates, glassware, flatware, and serving pieces. A family dining table sits adjacent to the kitchen with seating for all.

The living area is punctuated with a colorful accent wall mounted with a flat-screen TV. The ocean views also make quite a statement. Each cottage is also equipped with a full washer and dryer, personal safe, and wifi. 

We usually require a 3-night minimum, however, during the low season the owner may consider shorter stays. Please inquire prior to booking.

ABOUT SEA ORCHARD RETREAT

Sea Orchard Retreat is a boutique gated resort of oceanfront cottages on the quiet north coast of West Bay in beautiful Grand Cayman. Located just 10 minutes from Seven Mile Beach, guests can enjoy all the resorts, water sports, restaurants, and leisure activities the area has to offer. The shops of George Town & Camana Bay are also only a short drive away.**

The resort consists of four individual 2-bedroom cottages, a large resort pool with a heated spa and cabanas, a fitness center, and seaside hammocks under sea grape trees. 

With 400 feet of natural shoreline perched on a reef-protected marine park, guests can enjoy a vibrant snorkeling experience or kayaking adventure. While it has a sandy beach, that is raked periodically, it's not a barefoot swimming beach. However, guests are provided both snorkeling gear and complimentary water shoes for exploring. 

Famous Ristorante Pappagallo is within walking distance while the new Kimpton Seafire Resort & Spa is less than 10 minutes away by cab. Barkers Beach, an oceanfront nature conservancy home to nesting turtles, birds, and other fauna is a short 5-minute walk away. Since there is no Uber or Lyft on island you might want to consider a rental car. The resort has gated on-site parking.

Beach Notes

Sea Orchard Retreat is a gated oceanfront boutique resort with 4 private well-decorated 2 bedroom, 2 bath villas surrounding an oceanfront pool and spa.  The actual beach here is sandy, however, the shoreline can be pebbly & rocky as one enters the water to snorkel.  Our guests will use kayaks to access the shallow snorkeling reef and coral heads.

Sea Orchard Retreat is less than 10 minutes from the barefoot swimming on Seven Mile Beach as well as all the restaurants, resorts, and watersports offered.

General Grand Cayman Beach Notes

All beaches in Grand Cayman are technically public since the Crown owns up to the high water mark.

The shoreline quality behind your property may vary slightly from the images on our website due to shifting tides and weather patterns. The next-door beach is also always available for your use.

Ocean Debris & Sargassum Seaweed

Beaches in Grand Cayman may also experience floating ocean debris and sargassum weed seasonally.

Sargassum is a generally harmless floating seaweed that has increased in frequency over the years during the summer. Our owners do make efforts to remove heavy sargassum and will have the beach raked prior to your arrival. 

Should sargassum weed be extremely heavy behind your property, we will reach out to the owner for alternative solutions which may include a partial refund or relocation.

We enjoyed our stay in the Mango cottage. The interior was clean, the bed was comfortable, and we had everything we needed for a nice stay. I will say that the property itself needs a little tender loving care and didn't quite match the photos (they look like they were taken quite a few years ago). That said, Vic and Fiona were wonderful hosts. Vic got us settled and both of them checked in throughout the week to see how our stay was going. If you're looking for a place that is a bit off the beaten path, this is a great choice. You won't regret it.

The Mango villa was beautiful with high ceilings, open concept living space with two large bedrooms each with their own bathroom. We have made lots of meals in the kitchen, it\'s nicely equipped. There is a porch by the front door with loungers you can watch the waves from. The property is extremely peaceful with many areas to read, rest or just watch the ocean. The pool is beautiful with a large table for dinners, several bbq\'s including a charcoal one. There is a nice small gym and a room full of snorkeling equipment, water shoes in many sizes, kayaks, paddle boards and kids toys. Our housekeeper was fantastic, always smiling and happy to help. It was a perfect place for a week stay for our family of four.

Everything about our stay was wonderful. Sea Orchard is truly an amazing gorgeous property and the management staff could not have been more helpful. It was perfect for our family of 12 all of whom wanted to stay forever. Can’t say enough good things about it.

If you’re looking for somewhere to stay in the CI, this is the place. Fiona and Vic are the most incredible hostesses and they were available all the time. You can hear the waves from the house. There’s also a beautiful pool area. I’d definitely choose GC villas when I go back to visit.

We rented the entire Sea Orchard Retreat property for our wedding for 6 days. the entire property was wonderful. each cottage was well equipped for the entire time we were there. the property itself was well maintained and clean. the property maintenance worker was there daily and readily available for anything we needed. the location is quiet and very nice for a relaxing getaway yet close enough to a grocery store and a really nice restaurant within walking distance. couldn\'t of asked for anything more during our stay.

We had a group of 15 adults and had an amazing time at Sea Orchard Retreat! The weather was great and the property was the perfect fit for all. There are enough spaces for those seeking solitude or to hang by the pool with everyone. All the villa\\\'s are similar in layout and very well stocked so we all felt we were in the best one! Fiona was very responsive with any question or concerns we had and made us feel very welcome and took very good care of us. We will definitely be back!

Amazing site, the pool, the beach (no large sand portion, but lovely spot to snorkel, and walking along the surf. The house is cozy, with modern appliances and sound system that is high tech. The location is superb, out of the hustle and bustle of the 7MB but close enough. A big plus is wing literally next door to a National park! Check it out! Fiona is quick to respond and eager to make you comfortable. Thank you

This property was more than advertised. I’ve stayed in quite a few condos and timeshares and was spoiled by Sea Orchard Retreat. Beautiful property, amazing amenities and fantastic cottages. The service was impeccable with so many little touches that no one in our diverse group of seventeen had any negatives to say which is saying a lot for our group. Many small and unique aspects and amenities that surprised us all such as fishing poles, snorkel equipment and small things like a terrific spice rack and laundry detergent.

This is a great place to stay. its very quiet and manager fiona is very responsive and was able to change our schedule due to our last minute flight issues. my 5 year old daughter loves the place, its very refreshing to see roosters roaming around, ocean view from every room from mango cottage.

The villa is clean and peaceful. The cottage is well-maintained, contains modern appliances and is also very nicely decorated. The cottage comes fully-furnished and equipped, from kitchenware to beddings to toiletries -- and the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash gels are of good quality too! A shout out as well to Ms. Fiona who provided us with first class service!

What an amazing experience! Without exception, the guests LOVED our extended wedding weekend at Sea Orchard. So nice to have the property to ourselves occupying all four wonderful cottages, and having a pool and hot tub to ourselves. The wedding was held on the lawn at one end with vows overlooking the ocean. Overhead strings of lights that we had installed for the event made the area beautiful by night as well. Fantastic photos captured the unforgettable experience. The cottages were nicely decorated. Amenities provided everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable. The area was quiet and so relaxing. My only regret is that I didn\\\'t get a chance to use the provided ocean kayaks and paddle boards - we ran out of time!

This luxurious property was absolutely perfect for our group gathering. Everyone had their own bedroom suite, view of the ocean, access to the pool, outdoor relaxation areas and more. The onsite staff was extremely helpful and accommodating with all of our need - both leading up to the trip, and while onsite. They provide ocean toys (paddle boards, snorkel gear, etc.) and we found a Yoga instructor to come teach on the property. Seven mile beach is a short cab ride away, to oceanfront hotels, dining and nightlife. I would highly recommend this paradise to groups who want to escape together, but want their own private lodging accommodations. It\'s amazing!

Spent a relaxing week at Sea Orchard Retreat. It was very clean, and we appreciated the comfortable furnishings. It is a fairly easy trip into George Town, or Seven Mile Beach by taxi. We found that cabs would not go much further however. We were glad that we rented a car for longer trips (QE II Botanical Gardens, Rum Point). Didn\'t really try the buses, but that may be an option. It was great that there were kayaks, a paddle board, snorkel equipment, life jackets and water shoes all available. My one somewhat negative impression was the trash that washed up on the beach. Obviously not Fiona\'s fault, but maybe a little beach maintenance might be something that could be investigated.

My husband and I rented Mango cottage for a four day get-away to celebrate our 20th anniversary. We were delighted by every aspect of the rental, from Fiona\'s responsiveness to a few questions ahead of our trip, to the comfort and cleanliness of the house itself, as well as the property which is beautiful. The pool (large enough for lap swimming) and Jacuzzi are well kept, the grounds are lovely, and the beach and ocean are steps away from each cottage. Unlike some house rentals where you need to run out for soap, washing detergent, etc, the cottage was stocked with it all. We were able to stay and enjoy ourselves without a care in the world.

Our group of 6 couples rented all 4 cottages at the Sea Orchard Retreat, and we had a great stay at this intimate beachfront resort. The pool area is wonderful with plenty of lounges and tables/chairs and we spent hours poolside tanning, playing cards, enjoying music, and eating some meals. The cottages are very modern and have a great layout with a king bedroom on one side and a queen or 2 twin bedroom on the other side, providing very good privacy for every couple. Each unit has a full kitchen and washer/dryer, enabling us to eat some meals in and also do some laundry. A nice audio/video setup allows you to watch TV via AppleTV, or play music throughout the cottage due to speakers in all of the rooms. The Wifi was strong, and cellphone service was adequate. This is a very private, quiet resort, allowing you to have a very relaxing experience or to be a bit rowdy without worrying about disturbing the neighbors. We arranged for massages one day that were done in a small cabana down by the beach, and this was an amazing, relaxing experience for the wives. There are also excellent amenities such as kayaks, snorkeling gear, water shoes, plenty of beach towels, etc. You are only a short walk to the Pappagallo Restaurant where we had a couple of fantastic dinners. I would absolutely recommend this resort for groups like ours, and also for smaller groups that may take 1-2 cottages.

All villas are cleaned and sanitized prior to each guest's arrival. We also ask our owners to provide a starter supply of extra cleaning products.
