Pomegranate Cottage is a 2-bedroom semi-oceanfront home in West Bay at the northern tip of Cayman's western peninsula.  Architecturally identical to the other three cottages surrounding it, this cozy getaway can sleep 7 guests, 6 adults max.

Each floor plan opens to the sea with a pergola extending over the front porch creating an elevated lounging perch with ocean views. The bedroom suites sit on opposite wings of the cottage with direct access to the front porch.

  • Primary Suite - king bed, TV with Apple TV device, garden, and some ocean views, ensuite bath with modern fixtures, large jacuzzi tub, stand-alone rain shower.
  • Twin Suite - two twin beds, garden and some ocean views, ensuite bath with modern fixtures, European shower-tub combo.
  • Sleeper sofa in the living area for 2 adults.
  • A roll-away bed is available in each cottage.

Each cottage features a vaulted great room with ocean views encompassing the living, dining, and kitchen areas. The professionally-decorated interiors combine soothing hues, natural textures, and modern materials to evoke an updated island vibe. 

The kitchen is outfitted with stainless appliances including a side-by-side refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, electric range, and modern appliances. The kitchens are fully stocked with plates, glassware, flatware, and serving pieces. A family dining table sits adjacent to the kitchen with seating for all.

The living area is punctuated with a colorful accent wall and a mounted flatscreen TV. The ocean views also make quite a statement. Each cottage is also equipped with a full washer and dryer, personal safe, and wifi. 

We usually require a 5-night minimum, however, during the low season, the owner may consider shorter stays. Please inquire prior to booking.

ABOUT SEA ORCHARD RETREAT

Sea Orchard Retreat is a boutique gated resort of oceanfront cottages on the quiet north coast of West Bay in beautiful Grand Cayman. Located just 10 minutes from Seven Mile Beach, guests can enjoy all the resorts, water sports, restaurants, and leisure activities the area has to offer. The shops of George Town & Camana Bay are also only a short drive away.**

The resort consists of four individual 2-bedroom cottages, a large resort pool with a heated spa and cabanas, a fitness center, and seaside hammocks under sea grape trees. 

With 400 feet of natural shoreline perched on a reef-protected marine park, guests can enjoy a vibrant snorkeling experience or kayaking adventure. While it has a sandy beach, that is raked periodically, it's not a barefoot swimming beach. However, guests are provided both snorkeling gear and complimentary water shoes for exploring. 

Famous Ristorante Pappagallo is within walking distance while the new Kimpton Seafire Resort & Spa is less than 10 minutes away by cab. Barkers Beach, an oceanfront nature conservancy home to nesting turtles, birds, and other fauna is a short 5-minute walk away. Since there is no Uber or Lyft on the island you might want to consider a rental car. The resort has gated on-site parking.

Beach Notes

Sea Orchard Retreat is a gated oceanfront boutique resort with 4 private well-decorated 2 bedroom, 2 bath villas surrounding an oceanfront pool and spa.  The actual beach here is sandy, however, the shoreline can be pebbly & rocky as one enters the water to snorkel.  Our guests will use kayaks to access the shallow snorkeling reef and coral heads.

Sea Orchard Retreat is less than 10 minutes from the barefoot swimming on Seven Mile Beach as well as all the restaurants, resorts, and watersports offered.

General Grand Cayman Beach Notes

All beaches in Grand Cayman are technically “public” since the Queen owns up to the high water mark and the shoreline quality behind your property may vary seasonally. Be advised that the beach or water entry behind your property may vary slightly from the images on our website because of the weather. The next-door beach is also always available for your use.

Ocean Debris & Sargassum Seaweed

Beaches in Grand Cayman may also experience floating ocean debris and sargassum weed seasonally. Sargassum is a generally harmless floating seaweed that has increased in frequency in recent years. Although sargassum is an unsightly nuisance, it is largely seasonal in summer. Our owners do make efforts to remove heavy sargassum and will have the beach raked prior to your arrival. 

Should sargassum weed be extremely heavy behind your property, we will reach out to the owner for alternative solutions which may include a partial refund or relocation. We try our best to work around mother nature.

Wonderful cottage in this small group of cottages. Even with other guests, it felt like we had the place to ourselves. Quiet location but close to beaches, grocery store, etc. Highly recommend!

Fig and Fiona were great and we highly recommend. Family of 7 (2 Little’s at 4 and 2 years) fit great. The place was great and nice secluded with Papagallo just down the road. 15 minutes in a car from 7 mile beach. Stay here!

We rented the entire Sea Orchard Retreat property for our wedding for 6 days. the entire property was wonderful. each cottage was well equipped for the entire time we were there. the property itself was well maintained and clean. the property maintenance worker was there daily and readily available for anything we needed. the location is quiet and very nice for a relaxing getaway yet close enough to a grocery store and a really nice restaurant within walking distance. couldn\'t of asked for anything more during our stay.

We had a group of 15 adults and had an amazing time at Sea Orchard Retreat! The weather was great and the property was the perfect fit for all. There are enough spaces for those seeking solitude or to hang by the pool with everyone. All the villa\\\'s are similar in layout and very well stocked so we all felt we were in the best one! Fiona was very responsive with any question or concerns we had and made us feel very welcome and took very good care of us. We will definitely be back!

This property was more than advertised. I’ve stayed in quite a few condos and timeshares and was spoiled by Sea Orchard Retreat. Beautiful property, amazing amenities and fantastic cottages. The service was impeccable with so many little touches that no one in our diverse group of seventeen had any negatives to say which is saying a lot for our group. Many small and unique aspects and amenities that surprised us all such as fishing poles, snorkel equipment and small things like a terrific spice rack and laundry detergent.

The villa is clean and peaceful. The cottage is well-maintained, contains modern appliances and is also very nicely decorated. The cottage comes fully-furnished and equipped, from kitchenware to beddings to toiletries -- and the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash gels are of good quality too! A shout out as well to Ms. Fiona who provided us with first class service!

What an amazing experience! Without exception, the guests LOVED our extended wedding weekend at Sea Orchard. So nice to have the property to ourselves occupying all four wonderful cottages, and having a pool and hot tub to ourselves. The wedding was held on the lawn at one end with vows overlooking the ocean. Overhead strings of lights that we had installed for the event made the area beautiful by night as well. Fantastic photos captured the unforgettable experience. The cottages were nicely decorated. Amenities provided everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable. The area was quiet and so relaxing. My only regret is that I didn\\\'t get a chance to use the provided ocean kayaks and paddle boards - we ran out of time!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was such a respite, away from the busy areas, but a very short drive to the tourist spots. We spent most of our time on the grounds, soaking in the sun, shade, and kayaking in the ocean.

This is a fantastic property. The cottage is clean, well furnished and has everything you need. The pool area is lovely and you can walk down to the beach. It is In a quieter part of the island but easy to get around.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and The Sea Orchard Retreat! The pool, beach, hot tub, grill and additional ambiance and amenities were perfect. Vic was very kind and hospitable upon check in and dropped off our charging cable and lip gloss to us at our second location before we left the island. We were gone two of the four days from 8:30 am to 4 pm getting SCUBA certified and next time we will be staying longer!

This luxurious property was absolutely perfect for our group gathering. Everyone had their own bedroom suite, view of the ocean, access to the pool, outdoor relaxation areas and more. The onsite staff was extremely helpful and accommodating with all of our need - both leading up to the trip, and while onsite. They provide ocean toys (paddleboards, snorkel gear, etc.) and we found a Yoga instructor to come teach on the property. Seven mile beach is a short cab ride away, to oceanfront hotels, dining and nightlife. I would highly recommend this paradise to groups who want to escape together, but want their own private lodging accommodations. It\'s amazing!

This is one of the nicest vacation rentals that I have stayed at. The property is absolutely breathtaking. The mini resort is on the ocean and also has beautifully manicured and maintained grounds. The 2 bedroom 2 bath villa is modern, very clean and has all of the amenities you need for a fabulous vacation. The beds were extremely comfortable. There is a large pool and hot tub which we pretty much had to ourselves throughout the week. There is a nice gas grill available at the pool which also has multiple lounge chairs, tables and umbrellas. You don\'t have to hurry to grab a chair and umbrella like most resorts. The property is extremely private. We mainly shared the resort with a few chickens and iguanas. Hopefully on my next visit to Grand Cayman the cottage will be available again!

My wife and I brought our 4 children to stay at Sea Orchard Retreat (Pomegranate) end of March. Our villa was beautiful, clean, well appointed and nestled in this idyllic property with perfect pool, gorgeous flowers and landscaping, and views of the crystal waters of Conch Point. Although very private and off the beaten path, we found access to all the best Grand Cayman has to offer incredibly easy, availing ourselves of horseback riding on the beach, excursions through the North Sound, hanging out at Governor\'s Beach on Seven Mile, and enjoying great cuisine. Sea Orchard Retreat was a big part of one of our best family vacations and we would love to return!

Our group of 6 couples rented all 4 cottages at the Sea Orchard Retreat, and we had a great stay at this intimate beachfront resort. The pool area is wonderful with plenty of lounges and tables/chairs and we spent hours poolside tanning, playing cards, enjoying music, and eating some meals. The cottages are very modern and have a great layout with a king bedroom on one side and a queen or 2 twin bedroom on the other side, providing very good privacy for every couple. Each unit has a full kitchen and washer/dryer, enabling us to eat some meals in and also do some laundry. A nice audio/video setup allows you to watch TV via AppleTV, or play music throughout the cottage due to speakers in all of the rooms. The Wifi was strong, and cellphone service was adequate. This is a very private, quiet resort, allowing you to have a very relaxing experience or to be a bit rowdy without worrying about disturbing the neighbors. We arranged for massages one day that were done in a small cabana down by the beach, and this was an amazing, relaxing experience for the wives. There are also excellent amenities such as kayaks, snorkeling gear, water shoes, plenty of beach towels, etc. You are only a short walk to the Pappagallo Restaurant where we had a couple of fantastic dinners. I would absolutely recommend this resort for groups like ours, and also for smaller groups that may take 1-2 cottages.
