Fully Upgraded Condo in Cayman Kai!

Welcome to Starfish Kai, unit C28 of the Kaibo Phase II condominiums. The owners recently renovated this second-floor condo sparing no expense. This home checks all the boxes for an island vacation and offers both luxury and privacy while being only a short walk from The Kaibo marina, cafe, restaurants, and watersports. 

Snorkel and scuba charters depart from The Kaibo Marina, as well as the Cayman Ferry to Camana Bay and Seven Mile Beach. The Rum Point Club is also within walking distance for snorkeling, barefoot swimming, and watersports. Starfish Point is also only a 5-minute walk west. For fun under the stars, book a kayak tour of the Bioluminescent Bay and watch the water glow at night! 

Bright white shiplap wall treatment, porcelain plank flooring, and a full kitchen redesign show that nothing has been overlooked at Starfish Kai. Wolf and Sub-zero major appliances, a beverage fridge, a built-in microwave, and beaded-edge cabinetry are all over-the-top.

Carerra marble throughout the bathrooms gives a very clean and tidy resort look. Nest thermostats control an entirely new air conditioning system. 

Outside amenities include a large pool deck with plenty of sun loungers to soak up the sun. The shared pool includes a spa (heated in winter only) overlooking a white sandy beachfront with seaside hammocks for guests to enjoy.

The positioning of Starfish Kai also lends itself to amazing sunset views and less breeze on the beach. That said, on cooler winter nights, our guests can shut down the air conditioning and open the front windows to allow the eastern tradewinds to cool the home. 

For a two-bedroom condo, Starfish Kai has the finer amenities of a four-bedroom villa. You won't find a more upgraded condo in the Kaibo Phase II complex.

Beach Notes

The beach behind The Kaibo condo complex is pure barefoot sand. Facing the sound, the waters here are clear and calm. There are no reefs here to snorkel, nor is the sea bottom sandy for bare feet. 

All beaches are technically public and there are some nicer beaches nearby open for your use. For barefoot swimming and snorkeling, we recommend walking diagonally across the street to Gardens of the Kai, or up to the Rum Point Club, a short drive or 10-15 minute walk away. 

Not only are the beaches there swimmable, but Rum Point Beach also offers a bar and grill, lounge chaises, and a variety of water sports activities to keep you active. 

General Grand Cayman Beach Notes

All beaches in Grand Cayman are technically public since the Crown owns up to the high water mark.

The shoreline quality behind your property may vary seasonally from the images on our website due to shifting tides and weather patterns. 

Ocean Debris & Sargassum Seaweed

Beaches in Grand Cayman may also experience floating ocean debris and sargassum weed seasonally. The beach behind the Kaibo condos tends NOT TO EXPERIENCE sargassum as it is inside the reef.

Great location. Very quiet. Easy to drive around and visit other parts of the island. Condo/villa was in excellent condition and very nicely decorated and updated. We loved the screen porch with the high top table. Would definitely go back to the same unit!

Booking Rules

  • 5-night minimum stay required.
  • 6 nights minimum stay required over Thanksgiving week.
  • 7 nights minimum stay required over Christmas & New Year's week.
  • Christmas & New Year's are split into two rental periods. Please inquire with your travel dates prior to booking.
  • Shorter stays may be available but subject to a higher cleaning fee. Please inquire before booking.
  • Must be 25 years or older to book and must occupy the property during the entire stay.

Villa Cleaning & Sanitation

All villas are cleaned and sanitized prior to each guest's arrival. We also ask our owners to provide a starter supply of extra cleaning products.

Additional housekeeping services can be purchased after booking in 3-hour time blocks. Scheduling may be coordinated with your property manager upon arrival.

Getting Around

A rental car is highly recommended. Taxi cabs are unreliable and expensive outside of town. Plus, there is no Uber or Lyft on the island.

Day Tripping

Cayman Ferries operates daily water taxis departing from the Kaibo Marina to Camana Bay. Perfect for day trips to Seven Mile Beach or shopping excursions at Camana Bay.

Download their app to purchase your tickets in advance. Just be sure to make it back for the return voyage across the sound!
