This two-story luxury villa is a great family, or multiple-couple, villa offering amazing sunset views, a private freshwater pool, and ocean swimming from the home's palm-shaded beach.
Kai Zen is located in the lavish resort neighborhood of Cayman Kai. The owners prefer a minimal zen decor with clean lines, crisp white furniture, and open space. This is a non-smoking property, including the upstairs balcony, pool deck, and outdoor areas.
Kai Zen is just a 5-minute walk from dining options at The Kaibo Marina to the south, and a 10-minute walk to the Rum Point Club to the north.

Kai Zen enjoys a beautiful barefoot white sand beach and northwestern sunset views facing the Stingray Sandbar. One can walk barefoot all the way down to Starfish point about a mile away.
The Kaibo is only 300 yards from the house and an excellent place to grab a morning coffee, casual lunch, or elegant dinner in their upstairs dining area. The Kaibo also has a marina and is where many private charters will collect guests for private deep-sea fishing trips, snorkel safaris, or charters to Stingray City.

The shoreline quality behind your property may vary slightly from the images on our website due to shifting tides and weather patterns. The next-door beach is also always available for your use.
Ocean Debris & Sargassum Seaweed
Beaches in Grand Cayman may also experience floating ocean debris and sargassum weed seasonally.
Sargassum is a generally harmless floating seaweed that has increased in frequency over the years during the summer. Our owners do make efforts to remove heavy sargassum and will have the beach raked prior to your arrival.
Should sargassum weed be extremely heavy behind your property, we will reach out to the owner for alternative solutions which may include a partial refund or relocation.

Beyond Our Expectations
Our stay at Kai Zen was beyond our expectations in every possible way! This is an incredibly, beautiful area and the perfect setting to celebrate our collective 50th bdays! Kaibo became almost a daily stop. Ferry trip to Seven Mile was a perfect beach day. Snorkeling with the sea turtles at the Turtle Center was so sweet. Honestly the privacy and quiet of this area was much needed and savored. Thank you for sharing this gorgeous home!

The home was great and the view was beautiful. We have stayed at many VRBO houses over the years and when I say this house has everything supplied, I\'m not kidding. The house was extremely clean and the pictures do not lie.

This home is stunning! The views are incredible! The waterfront is calm and protected even when the you can see white caps on the reefs. My favorite part of the day was have an afternoon drink watching the sun go down. Absolutely beautiful!
The perfect villa
The reason we chose this villa was because we wanted to be right on the beach and have incredible views. Well we had no idea how beautiful it would be here. The sunsets were spectacular. The actually villa itself is so brilliantly decorated with practical yet wonderful furnishings. The layout is just perfect in every way and the views from the villa outstanding. We usually prefer to stay on a walking beach but having this different experience was every bit as incredible. Kayaking and paddle boarding in the ocean every day. Starfish everywhere. The villa was clean and in perfect condition and grand cayman villas did a great job in every way. The recommendations of cooks and massage were all excellent. Their snorkel trip they promoted was exceptional. Kissing the stingrays and holding them was very cool!

Love Kai Zen
The villa/house met all our needs.
This is our third time to Cayman and by far this villa is the best one we have stayed in.
We had two weeks of pure heaven and didn’t want to leave.
The house had everything we need to cater for a family of 6, comfortable areas to lounge inside and out. Great location, peaceful yet close enough to get groceries and to eat out.
We will be back.

Beautiful views, beautiful home
This house is amazing! The views and comfort of this house were everything we hoped for. We enjoyed the beach back yard leading right the the water. We also enjoyed using the pool every day we were visiting. The house is well stocked with everything you need and can think of. The bedrooms are very large and comfortable with large bathrooms and great showers in every room. There are many exciting things to do within walking distance of the home. We were extremely impressed with the ease of reserving and everything about our stay at Kai Zen!
Amazing Villa with Stunning Views!
My family of four stayed at Kai Zen for a week. The villa is gorgeous! It is tastefully decorated, clean, and has everything that you need. Our property manager, Judy was fantastic. She came out twice to meet us and answer some questions that we had. The surrounding property is equally beautiful and the villa has large windows so there is always a view. We enjoyed kayaking, the pool, naps on the outdoor couch or the hammock, the sunsets, and the sounds of the palm trees in the breeze. Truly zen-like.
This was our first time in the Caymans. Some highlights for us were the bioluminescent kayak tour, snorkeling, Upstairs at Kaibo, jet skiing, fishing/snorkeling charter, Stingray City, watching the feeding of the birds at Tukka, The Crystal Caves. There are many great places to eat, but if you can, check out the Czech Inn, we had a lot of fun there!
We visited the 7 Mile Beach area a few times, it is no doubt a gorgeous beach, but it was SO nice to come back to our own personal paradise. If you are looking for tranquility and luxury, Kai Zen is your place! Thanks for the great memories! I hope we can return some day!
Like a Movie Set!!!
We had a great family vacation enjoying what the house and property had to offer. Kids loved swimming in the pool and kayaking the bay. Located in a nice, private area with a nearby marina for access to all the water adventures. The house and property looked like a movie set. It was beautiful in and out. We had everything we needed.
Week in paradise
Our stay at Kai Zen has exceeded our expectations! Every part of the planning to arrival has been top notch working with Grand Cayman Villas. Kai Zen is a beautiful oceanfront property with a lovely beach. The home is in an upscale neighborhood. The views from the home are breathtaking! It is in a bay perfect for kayaking. One thing to note for families with young children is that the bay is not ideal for swimming and snorkeling. There is a lot of sea grass and flat jellyfish on the bottom, but it’s perfect for kayaking to observe these things from above. At one end of the bay is Starfish Point, which is great for snorkeling, too. We took several charters out of the neighborhood marina which was very convenient.
The home itself is very well stocked. The kitchen has everything you may need - loads of appliances, all soaps, paper towels, condiments are provided. The beds are comfy and the living room very spacious. We loved our stay here and hope to be back one day!

Amazing Home on Beach!
This is our 2nd experience with Scott who helped us select this home for a weeks stay. The home was outstanding, very clean and updated with beautiful furniture and comfort. The pool and beach outside the glass doors was the highlight. Bar, restaurant and coffee shop within a 5 minute walk. Excellent food, drinks and hospitality!
We will be back for a 3rd visit!
Perfect Cayman Kai Beach House
Kai Zen was the perfect retreat for our week in Cayman Kai for our daughter\'s wedding. Set on the beach with million dollar sunsets every night, we enjoyed the thoughtfully appointed spaces both inside and out. The upper balcony, wide open first floor, and outside pool and seating areas were ideal for inspiring family time, whether playing games or lounging with a drink. We could not have asked for better hosts or a more lovely vacation home. Thank you!
Spectacular property
Kai Zen is a beautiful property ideally situated on a pristine beach on the tranquil north side of Grand Cayman. The house is perfectly appointed, very nicely furnished, well maintained, and just a wonderful base from which to enjoy the island. Thank you to the owners for sharing your spectacular home, and for the beautiful flower arrangement that greeted us upon arrival which set the stage for a perfect stay!!

We had an unbelievable vacation. This house is more wonderful than you would even believe. We rarely wanted to leave. We had more dinners at home than we expected. Pure paradise. Don’t pass it up!!!
Perfect Property for Our Family of Six
After searching for the perfect property for our family of six, we reserved a week at Kai Zan. We had been looking at the pictures on line since January & we could not wait to arrive. As soon as we opened the front door, we knew we had chosen the perfect vacation home - the pictures truly do not capture its beauty. The front door opens up to the living room with a 40 feet wall of windows. On the other side is a private beach complete with palm trees, a hammock, & enough lounge chairs for everyone in our family. The inside of the home was bright, beautifully decorated, and extraordinarily clean. The kitchen is stocked with pots, utensils, & everything a cook would need, all housed in lots of cabinets & very cool sliding pantries. The living room couch was super comfortable & easily fit all 6 of us. There was a shelf near the slider next to the pool (which was warm, spotlessly clean) that contained lots of fluffy beach towels . The basket of blankets in the corner was a very nice touch, too! The beds/bedding in all of the bedrooms were clean & comfortable as if they were brand new. The master bedroom closet was huge with lots of shelves, racks, & a safe to store valuables. The bathrooms were large & very well designed, with plenty of storage for all of our girls\' hair supplies. While the inside of the house was amazing, the star of the show is the outside area. We had asked for 2 kayaks & 2 paddle boards. They were waiting for us on the beach when we arrived. Joe from Silver Thatch came to unlock them so we could start exploring immediately. Judy arrived to make sure we were settled in and had everything we needed. We had picked up the complimentary snorkel gear from Silver Thatch on the way to Kai Zen and put them to good use before we even unpacked. So much fun to see dinner plate size starfish! We rented a car and spent the week snorkeling, parasailing, jet skiing, kayaking Bioluminescent Bay, and feeding stingrays. At the end of every busy day, we were all happy t

We picked Kai Zen based on the photos, location and reviews. We could not be happier with the decision. The home is better than photos. The beach was nice white sand, beautiful afternoon views, walk to kaibo and Rum Point. Bio Bay also a short walk and beautiful at night - like Northern Lights underwater...

Fantastic views
This property is exactly as pictured and expertly managed and maintained. We only left the Rum Point area once during our week long stay. If you want a truly beautiful place to relax then Kai Zen is the place.
Best Place on the Island
The pictures don\'t do it justice.
You have to be there to believe it. the Kai Zen villa is awesome. My wife and I plus 2 other couples had all the room in the world at this place. The place has everything you will need. The rental company is great to work with they help with everything.
We will be booking again for next year for sure!

Zen Indeed!
What a beautiful house to spend this amazing getaway from our busy lives. My family absolutely adored Kai Zen. We spent all of our time sitting by the pool, soaking up the sun. We rented kayaks and paddle boards during our stay for our kids and we even went out with them to see the Bio Bay on one perfect night. I especially loved eat at Tukka. Ron is a HOOT!! We were able to secure a charter for one day and went to see the stingrays and starfish. Highly recommend. Thank you very much for sharing your home with us. Hopefully we will be back very soon!

An Amazing Stay
What a beautiful house!!! My whole family just fell in love with Kai Zen. It feels like you\'re surrounded by windows on the first floor so you\'re always getting to see that gorgeous view. We loved that it felt private even though we were in a popular area! We walked down to the Kaibo for drinks and always had some great nights there. Couldn\'t recommend this home more!

Spring Break at Kai Zen!
Our family had the best vacation ever at Kai Zen! Everything with this home is perfect. So much room for our family of 5.
We walked to Rum Point, Kaibo and Starfish Point - all must do\'s.
The restaurants in the area were wonderful and we cooked in dinners.

A big slice of heaven on Grand Cayman at Rum Point
We could not have picked a better location for our first vacation on Grand Cayman. Scott from Grand Cayman Villas & Condos helped us pick the right villa based on what we were looking for and he nailed it. The Kai Zen Villa is located right by Rum Point away from the busy seven mile beach area. We were able to paddle board to both Star Fish point and Bioluminescent Bay right off the beach of Kai Zen. The villa is spacious and stocked with everything you need for a beach vacation. The fully stocked kitchen made preparing meals a joy. With floor to ceiling sliders along the backside of the house you feel like you are outside even when you are inside! As the Villa looks west the sunsets were spectacular! Scott was also very helpful in planing our vacation activities including Scuba Diving with the folks at Silver Thatch Water Sports. We ate dinner at Over The Edge, Tukka and Chicken-Chicken. All good and all reasonably priced. Chisholm’s was our go to mini mart for snacks and knick-knacks, they even sell pre-made tuna sandwiches at the checkout counter. Don’t miss Sting Ray City, The Turtle Center, The Kittiwake sunken ship and scuba and snorkeling everywhere!
Perfection!
We had a lovely stay at Kai Zen. It is perfectly situated for serene privacy with a spectacular view yet is walking distance to delicious food, drinks and activity. This part of the island is surely our new favorite! The villa is spacious and well equip, very tastefully decorated with lovely bedding and towels. We wanted for nothing! Check in was seamless and once on the property, everything was very straightforward. The property manager paid us a courtesy visit and we were very happy to have her local recommendations. We cannot wait to return to this perfect spot!

Beautiful beachfront home with amazing views and exceptional amenities.
The home is absolutely beautiful with all the amenities your family will need. We found the home to be in a central location within the Rum Point area making walks to Rum Point (restaurants and water sports) and Starfish Beach a pleasure and easily completed within 15 minutes. The home has access to kayaks and paddle boards which we used everyday to explore the area, enjoy the sun, look for starfish and check out the bioluminescence bay! We also enjoyed the pool which allows you to cool off while enjoying some of the best views on Grand Cayman! The sunsets were awesome! Where else can you enjoy gorgeous sunsets on the privacy of your own beach? The home was immaculate and the one time we had a question for the manager their response time was immediate and they even followed up to make sure everything was fine. We could not have asked for a nicer home to enjoy our family Christmas vacation!

Great week at Kia Zen
Wow what a relaxing week with family and friends. We tried to check in but they we working with another customer and they said we could go into the house . We picked up a cooler before we left. The week started out with rain off and on. That didn’t stop us. Great time to just hanng out and play some games at the house. Once the rain stopped there is so much to explore. Snorkeling, Starfish, Kayaking or just lying in the hammock. A couple of tips. Lots of mosquitoes so make sure you bring lots of repellent. The fire alarm in the kitchen went off in the kitchen a couple of mornings but it is directly over the toaster. It would go right back off. Upstairs there is a screened in patio it would be nice to have a few more chairs up there too. The view was beautiful up there. We decided on the Kayak Tuesday and they were very responsive with the code and paddles. We also did the the Silver Thatch Charter. Jay was our guide and captain for the trip. Stingrays were our favorite and highlight of our trip. My husband and younger son went diving with Red Sail Sports in the mornings even saw a shark one day. Did day trips to Seven Mile beach. Better to do the water taxi cuts out a lot of travel time driving. Just another way to explore the area. Other areas we explored and are a must is the bow holes great photo op and beach bubbles. Don’t forget to stop after arriving and pick up groceries or have them delivered when coming in in Saturday because grocery stores are closed Sunday. The linen closet is upstairs. Plenty of extra towels for the beach. We asked our bunch what they wanted to do our last full day and it was decided to just hang out at our beautiful house. My son and fiancé also did their engagement pictures at the house. BEAUTIFUL sunset that day and lots of beautiful shots around the hose. I think next time we come we need to stay one week down at seven mile beach and one week at North End/Rum Point. Always a family favorite.

Grand Cayman Villas did a phenomenal job organizing this home for us, the snorkel gear is top notch and the kayaks are convenient and quality construction. Scott in Virginia is so helpful to new visitors to the island - his experience shows. The house we stayed in might be one of the best we’ve seen. It is lacking furniture in several areas but the new owner has told us that should be fixed in the next couple months. The owner is quite attentive and we are optimistic this place will only improve under the new ownership.

Love it!
We had a great time in the Cayman Islands. Loved this house. It was perfect and in a great location. We snorkelled right off our beach. Starfish, stingray and lobster sightings. Weather was perfect. Highly recommend this house and we hope to be back next year.
Best Vacation!!
We were very pleased with this house with it\'s private pool and beach. Woke every morning to breeze blowing through the palm trees. Spent every evening watching the breath taking sunsets from the patio. The house is well stocked with kitchen necessities, towels for the pool, and toiletries. We were able to rent paddle boards and jet skies just across the street from the house. Since the house is on the sound, we all quickly mastered the paddle boards on the smooth waters. Went out daily to check on 2 starfish that seemed to live right off our beach. It was great to be on Rum Point away from the cruise ships and tourist. But it was still an easy drive back to Georgetown to shop for souvenirs. We were there for 10 days and really didn\'t want to leave. Great place to stay!!
Super Zen
a great property on an amazing beach. very modern and sparse, which we liked a lot. pool was small but nice and clean. fun to walk to rum point and kaibo yacht club. everything was well-maintained and super clean. kitchen was stocked fine. plenty of good towels and linens. sunsets to die for. water was very calm and beautiful. if you want to snorkel, you do need to go elsewhere, but great spot for paddleboarding and kayaking. screened-in porch upstairs meant you could open the doors at night and sleep with the ocean breezes blowing in. nice! judy, the manager, checked in multiple times and took care of little nitty things, like when the trash didn\'t get picked up. we would rent again for sure.

Paradise!
What an amazing property and location. Right on the beach so that my family could walk out the door to snorkel and paddle board. Layout of the house perfect for three sets of adults. A great restaurant and coffee shop a 7 minute walk down the road in one direction. The other direction - food, gift shop and kayaking. Only minor bump was that there was no market nearby. But the recommendations that the property manager gave to have food/alcohol delivered couldn\'t have been more helpful/appreciated. After staying a week we weren\'t ready to leave all agreed that we would return as soon as possible
Amazing Beachfront House!!!
My family takes annual beach vacations and we are very picky when renting a house. The house must be beach front, have a pool, beautiful view, etc. Kai Zen is all that and more!! Kai Zen was perfect for 6 adults and 1 child - there was so much space for everyone, yet we could all be together in the expansive common area. The view is to die for with sliding glass doors across the expanse of the beach front view! I had SUPs and kayaks delivered to the private beach which was perfect for everyone to use as they please. I highly recommend this house! The location at Rum Point is walkable to the Starfish beach, in fact, there were starfish as large as 2 hands on our beach! The boys were picked up across the street for deep sea fishing. It was always fun to come back to this house. We even had massages under the palm trees on our beach! It was a great family vacation with many wonderful memories! There is great snorkeling off your personal beach!

6 days in Paradise
First, let me start off by saying, I would rent from Grand Cayman Villas again in a heartbeat! They without a doubt put every effort into accurately presenting their properties and you either feel the property was as exactly as presented, or even better in person. I was very pleased with my overall experience. I loved the app, I loved the visit from Judy, and I loved the ease of renting. I have definitely recommended you to others! Kai Zen was exactly as pictured. No deceptions in the photos whatsoever!!
My only recommendations are: Something should be utilized to provide a pleasant smell throughout the property, especially prior to guest arrival. The high temperatures can make the house smell somewhat \"stale\" and lastly, the house should be \"cooled\" prior to guests arrival. Kai Zen has quite a bit of square footage and it can take some time to cool her down.
Overall the property was everything I envisioned. The private beach was AMAZING! I rented a clear canoe and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. Watching the crabs, hermit crabs, iguanas, and wildlife right outside were highlights of my stay there. I canoed to both Starfish Point and the Bio Bay... which are right to the left and right of Kai Zen. The water was clear, there was no seaweed, and the beachfront was beautifully manicured.
The house is equipped with plenty of linens, bedding, cooking and eating utensils, and starter supplies such as, tissue, paper towels, etc. There was even Aveeno lotion and Axe shower gel there when we arrived. Plenty of spices were in the cupboard and a very nice gas grill for grilling.
I had no issues with Kai Zen\'s wifi. The only place I noticed it did not work very well was in the upstairs bathroom. My husband enjoyed the pool while there and was appreciative of the provided floats. My only disappointment was I could not get a coconut to fall from the tree, lol.
A rental car is definitely needed in this area. Grand Cayman Villas gets 5 stars!
Didn\'t want to leave...
Kai Zen was great! The house is very modern and clean, kitchen was very well stocked, and its simply beautiful. The location is very relaxing on the calm waters of the sound which is perfect for kayaking, snorkeling, and paddle boarding. Its a bit of a drive (30-45 minutes) back to most of the restaurants/airport, but its worth it for the peace and quiet. We would absolutely go back!
Wonderful Home and Location
The house was absolutely perfect for our family of 5. From the initial booking, it was all easy organized. The view out of the family room was like a postcard, and we couldn’t have wished for anything more perfect. Not knowing Grand Cayman very well, I took a chance at picking a location to stay, and I am so glad we chose the Rum Point area. We were away from the crowded resorts which was what we wanted although we did a few day trips for shopping in Georgetown and snorkeling up at Cemetery Beach. Rum Point did have loads for us to do as far as snorkeling, dining, and charter to Sting Ray City which was a must. We also did a few charters - one fishing with Tukka, and the other snorkeling at a few wrecks with Silver Thatch. I would highly recommend doing both - Captain Ron from Tukka was great and we also enjoyed dining at his restaurant that evening too. My husband and son also hired a bonefish flyfishing guide for the morning through Fish Bones. Only activity we missed due to the moon cycle was the bioluminescence cove. At our rental, the kids especially liked the pool and spent most of their time there. The home was immaculate and stocked well with towels and cookware. (will say it was only missing a few kitchen essentials like colander, measuring cups, measuring spoons). The beds were comfortable, and bathrooms were roomy. Our AC did go out in the master bedroom the last weekend we were there, but we managed with the ceiling fan. I did contact the property manager to let her know. She, Judy, had stopped by to meet us upon arrival, and her husband had stopped by to help us get the brand new grill working. Restaurants we ate at and would highly recommend: The Lighthouse, Tukka, Eagle Rays, Kaibo Beach, and Wreck Bar and Grill at Rum Point Beach. It was a perfect 10 days for us!

Fantastic Home and Location
We recently stayed at Kai Zen with our family of four. This is our third time staying in Cayman Kai, and Kai Zen is by far the nicest home so far. As a matter of fact I can not imagine a nicer home. Most small homes in the area are old and need some love. Kai Zen is beautiful and it is obvious the owners take great care of their home.
The bedrooms were all clean and clutter free. The bathrooms were tidy. The living area was huge and the kitchen well appointed.
Outside, the pool is perfect. The kids bounced from pool to ocean to Rum Point! The beach was a nice sandy beach into the water. We walked to Rum Point and Kaibo most days. There is a ferry to Camana Bay that we recommend and we hired Silver Thatch Charters for a wonderful trip to the Stingray sandbar - an absolute must. Ask for captain George!
Cant say enough about Kai Zen. We will be back!!!!
Spectacular views from every room in the house
Kai Zen was absolutely perfect. The view from every aspect of the house/property was magnificent. I posted pictures to my Facebook page and friends contacted me, asking about the property...that it was the most perfect vacation spot they ever saw. Despite the unusual 3 straight days of rain we encountered, we had a fabulous vacation. The North side of the island is where it is at if you are looking for a relaxing vacation. Rum Point and Kaibo were both filled with water sports and good food. We made a trip to seven mile beach one day and Smith cove another. We preferred the quiet seclusion of the North side with many locals, away from the hustle and bustle of all the hotels and cruise crowds. I do recommend sea shoes for the ocean out the back door, as there is seaweed for several feet until you get to a clear sandy bottom. However, you are less then a mile from Rum Point where the beach is gorgeous and free of seaweed. You are about a mile from starfish point but we saw more spectacular starfish (more and larger) right out our back door. We will definitely return and go through Grand Cayman Villas next visit too. Their staff is very responsive and accommodating.

Getting Around
A rental car is highly recommended. Taxi cabs are unreliable and expensive outside of town and Seven Mile Beach. Plus, there is no Uber or Lyft on the island.
For rental cars, we recommend Budget Cayman, Avis, or Marshalls.
