Grand Cayman Villas & Condos (GCVC) is proud to announce another new condominium partnership on sunny Seven Mile Beach. GCVC has been engaged to manage all marketing and reservations for the South Bay Beach Club.

Built on the southern end of Seven Mile Beach, the South Bay Beach Club has been a popular vacation destination since opening in 2013. South Bay is another first-rate Brian Butler development similar to the Meridian, Beachcomber, and Renaissance.

37 condominiums in 2, 3, and 4-bedroom configurations are built on the barefoot sandy shores of Seven Mile Beach—one of the world’s top beach destinations. Its stellar location puts guests steps away from a number of local resorts, restaurants, and nightlife. Watersports, island excursions, and the George Town shopping districts are also nearby.

22 units participate in the rental program, including five 4-bedroom condos and three 3-bedroom penthouse suites.

All condos feature an open-concept living area with stunning oceanfront views, an array of modern appliances, and either a screened patio or balcony.

Guests can expect a quintessential beachfront experience complete with daily beach service, seaside hammocks, an oceanfront pool deck, and fabulous indoor/outdoor living spaces. A heated oceanfront pool is a unique amenity for resorts on Seven Mile Beach.

To provide guests with that “at home” feeling while vacationing abroad, we offer a range of complimentary amenities exclusively through our Silver Thatch Guest Services. Here’s a brief rundown of the benefits available when booking your family villa with us!

FREE SNORKEL GEAR – Upon check-in, all members of your group will be fitted with ScubaPro snorkel gear for use during your stay. Simply return these items prior to your departure to avoid replacement fees.

FREE BABY EQUIPMENT – For our tiniest guests, baby gear can be requested prior to arrival and held for you at check-in. We have baby gates, pack ’n plays, crib sheets, and booster seats. Please request these items ahead of time, especially during holidays or peak travel season.

Apple TVs are available for check out should your rental lack a SmartTV or streaming device. Parents can stream their kid’s favorite shows or plan a family movie night. There are some regional restrictions, but most streaming services work fine (Netflix, Prime, Disney+, etc.).

SeaView Boards are available for discounted rental. If you or your children are interested in snorkeling, this is a great way to get started. If you aren’t aware, SeaView boards have a clear bottom so you can see the marine life below without getting underwater.

For parents, there are coolers and coffee machines on hand. Pick up a cooler and keep your beverage of choice on ice by the pool or on the beach. Get a jump start on your day with your favorite brew of java. We have extra Keurig and Nespresso machines on hand depending on your choice of brew.

Active parents will love having exclusive access to the fitness center at Silver Thatch. Stop by for a quick morning workout or yoga session before hitting the beach!

Deals on private charters! All villa guests receive a 10% Advance Booking Discount towards a private charter aboard our 32-foot World Cat. Save on an excursion to Stingray City or a sunset dinner cruise to Camana Bay.

Getting Here

All major airlines have resumed nonstop service to Grand Cayman to keep pace with rising demand. American, Southwest, United, JetBlue, Cayman Airways, Air Canada, and WestJet have flights landing regularly.

Cayman Airways has expanded nonstop service to Cayman out of Denver making travel easier for tourists on the west coast.

Delta will resume daily flights from Atlanta beginning June 5, 2022.

Spring Break and Summer 2023 dates are starting to book fast with air service restored and the island open for family travel.

Family Fun at Tukka

With a reputation as the culinary capital of the Caribbean, Grand Cayman is home to many fabulous restaurants. One of our favorites is Tukka.

Run by Ron Hargrave, an award-winning chef with a larger-than-life personality, Tukka brings a taste of Australia served with a Caribbean twist. You’ll find everything on the menu from burgers to tacos, freshly caught seafood, steaks, and unique creations for the adventurous (kangaroo bangers, anyone?)

Serving lunch and dinner daily, plus breakfast and brunch on the weekends, Tukka should be on your shortlist of dining options.

With two locations in West Bay and East End, villa guests save 10% off the final bill by simply showing their Silver Thatch Guest Card provided to all villa guests at check-in.

Both locations offer seaside dining with spectacular water views. The East End location offers complimentary door-to-door shuttle service within a limited radius. A great option for large groups. Call ahead to request shuttle service availability.

A Parrot Sanctuary?

Yep! Tukka includes a parrot sanctuary. It’s a unique experience for families. A popular activity for visiting families is to stop at Tukka for their bird feeding happy hour (after 5 p.m.) in the east end. Guests can book a seaside table and watch the birds feeding. The birds are also sometimes called pirate birds. This is an interactive and educational experience that your children won’t forget anytime soon.
